INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

There are still occasions where our rangehood is installed with incorrect ducting and consequently it does not do the job.

This causes a lot of stress and aggravation as the hood and sometimes the cupboard have to be removed, so it becomes an expensive exercise and leaves a bad taste with the end user.
I submit the following for consideration.

  • Qasair motor as a bench test and that is with unobstructed air movement.
  • Qasair Motor on high speed with 200mm diameter outlet provides 980 cubic/meters hour.
  • Qasair Motor on high speed with 150mm diameter outlet provides 673 cubic/meters hour.
  • Qasair Motor on high speed with 90mm diameter outlet provides 290 cubic/meters hour.
  • As you can see once the outlet size is reduced the air movement is also reduced substantially and consequently the hood will not do the job required.

Tests done at our factory with a Beacon Anemometer Air Flow Meter and is generally considered to be accurate to plus or minus 10%.
