OUTDOOR BARBECUES

We are receiving more requests for rangehoods over outdoor barbecues which are partly built into areas that require ventilation:

  1. We require the brand and type of barbecue.
  2. On the side of the appliance there should be a megajoule rating - total or per burner - and we require the total.
  3. For all cases the air movement must be equivalent to 3 of our standard motors and the rangehood specified must have three motors.
  4. A normal domestic electric indoor barbecue is about to 8.5 megajoules so you can see there is a big problem with outdoor barbecues that are 50Mj and upwards.
  5. Please refer to our Technical Information Sheet No. 6 about domestic outdoor barbecues.
